Course Syllabus
Knowledge Development
Learn drysuit types, materials, seals, valves, and how to care for your suit. Understand the physics of diving dry and thermal protection.
Confined Water Practice
Get comfortable in your drysuit in the pool. Practice inflation, deflation, buoyancy control, and managing a suit squeeze or blow-up.
Open Water Dive 1
Apply your drysuit skills in real open water. Focus on buoyancy control and trim, the key skills that make drysuit diving comfortable.
Open Water Dive 2 and Certification
Demonstrate confident drysuit diving skills. Receive your PADI Drysuit Speciality certification, valid worldwide.
What You Need
Prerequisites
- PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Must be 10 years or older
- No minimum logged dives required
- Access to a drysuit (hire available, ask us)
- Complete a medical questionnaire

Pool session: Monday evenings, Padiham Leisure Centre
Open water: UK quarry/lake site, arranged around your schedule
Included: Equipment hire, PADI crew pack, certification card
